Starting the engine
- Check engine oil level on dip stick (before first start).
- Turn on main power to position 2 (start battery) behind engine compartment. If battery is empty try battery no. 1 (utility battery). Battery 1 should only be used to start engine when absolutely necessary. Allow 10 minutes between each attempt on battery no. 1.
- Turn on ignition power on switch panel as indicated in picture below. The switch panel is located on the left side of the engine compartment when looking aft. The start panel will normally start beeping.
- Put throttle handle in neutral (upright/vertical) position
- Heat engine for max. 6 seconds (top button on start panel in cockpit)
- Press start (max. 10 seconds). Release when engine has started. If engine does not start after 3 attempt please refer to engine manual below.
- Ensure there is cooling water beeing expelled from exhaust behind the boat. If not open the valve behind engine under aft bed.
- To charge all batteries with engine set main switch to "ALL".
- Set main electric switch to battery 1 whenever motor is not running.
- Turn of power when leaving the boat.

Charging Batteries with Power from Shore
- Make sure nothing is using electricity when charging. Turn off all on switch panel.
- Connect charger, in left compartment under chart table seat, to main power from shore using the extension cord.
- Set main electric switch to "ALL".
- Ensure charger has ventilation to protect from overheating.
Gas and Fire Detector
The gas and fire detector is located close to the floor under the chart table. There is a tiny on/off switch in front. Safe practice is to switch on when arriving at boat and off at the end of use of the boat. If you do not plan to sleep in the boat it is not necessary to use the detector.
